Description
This fragile beauty is the South Carolina State Butterfly, photographed with a hand-held compact camera at Abernathy Waterfront Park in Clemson SC. The morning sun was at the perfect angle to highlight the butterfly's wings. The elusive butterfly fluttered from blossom to blossom, making the photo a difficult capture. I guess that is why butterflys were originally called flutterbys.
